Abstract / Introduction

This project aims to recommend hotels for users by using Machine Learning and Sentiment Word Net based method for opinion mining from hotel reviews. It is a sentence relevance score based method for opinion mining of hotel reviews. The classified information about hotel reviews helps web users to interpret review contents easily in a brief time. The opinion mining module of this system will detect hidden sentiments in user feedback and rates them accordingly by using Sentiment Word Net based method. The proposed system will use opinion mining methodology to achieve desirable functionality. The opinion mining module gives reviews of the feedback that is posted by various users regarding a hotel. The Student can use existing database (e.g., Kaggle.com) of sentiment based keywords with positive or negative weight in a database, then based on this sentiment keywords database user reviews can be mined or ranked. This system is useful for those people who visit new places quite often. People can easily decide whether the hotel is good or bad by using this application. Using Collaborative filtering, user will get recommendations of hotels. Since system ranks the feedback based on the weight age of the keywords in database, so the result is appropriate. User can decide which hotel to accommodate before they reach the place.

Functional Requirements

• The system has a Interface for user and Admin Login
• The system must be able to detect hidden sentiments in user feedback and rates them accordingly
• The user will login to the system and gives his reviews about the hotel
• system will takes review of various users and match them with the keywords in the database and rank the review accordingly
• The system will decide whether the posted hotel is good, bad, or worse.
• Moreover, based on users search on hotels, recommendations will be shown to the user based on how many times a user visited that particular hotel’s page.
• The system will rate the hotel according to the reviews then recommend the hotel for future users. When user login, the system will recommend hotels
• User views submitted to the opinion mining module for further processing
• Admin will post new hotel, edit hotel information and add keywords in a database. n Admin will view booking, users, and user reviews
