Abstract/Introduction
DHL, TCS, OCS are the major stakeholders for shipping cargo around the globe. There is a need to track the luggage and shipping orders at large scale. Accurate and precise with timely information is very much necessary to take appropriate action in terms of secure and timely cargo delivery with refined tracking. The core theme of this project is to emphasis on the reduction of cargo lost ratio and enlighten the need of customer care at our best. This system can be adopted by any airline without discrimination of country.
The sub modules of this application will be timely reporting, backtracking, current status of order placed through FAX or through EMAIL. The designed system should be able to do the following:
Functional Requirements:
- Application user should be an admin of remote location who manages the placed orders date wise for any country via any airline in terms of volume and classify the cargo in pallets designed to carry same via aero plane in appropriate
- The System should be updated about the flight schedules, which may change from time to time based on the weather or availability of space for cargo and waiting time of plane at airport based on placement
- Guest user of the system should be provided with rights of read only schedule and cargo status already booked by the system admin before flight
- Admin user is responsible for the discrepancy if found in the actual cargo in comparison with the cargo booked
- The complete system should contains admin login, guest login, different airlines with timings, shipping capacity per plane, flight booked, flight released, claims, tagging of baggage’s
- Committed and roll backed orders should be notified prior to the departure of plane for
order delivery, so avoid misconceptions about client’s biasness.
- Flight releasing should be notified after the flight actually taken off cargo from source location. Then it should be informed through online system about cargo capacity and if any transit lies between source and
