Abstract / Introduction
Web programs are gradually moving into cloud environments. These cloud services are hosted on massive scale computation and storage infrastructures called data centers (DC) (e.G. Google’s records center, Facebook’s data center and so forth.). In a large scale records center, hundreds of lots of servers are linked through switches in a symmetric topology. A facts middle network (DCN) interconnects all of the records center resources. Data Center TCP (DCTCP) is a changed version of TCP which is proposed especially for intra- DCN communication [1]. DCTCP, even though, plays significantly better than TCP in information centers but nevertheless suffers from overall performance problems; DCTCP incurs big packet drops because of bursty float arrivals (many-to-one communique). This project objectives to: i) perceive the causes of packet drops inside the occasion of bursty arrivals, ii) advise solution(s) to mitigate the packet loss problem. The trouble might be studied via simulating DCN environment in community simulator ns-2. In addition, the proposed solution can also be implemented in ns-2. Working in ns-2 calls for: i) know-how of fundamental commands of Linux running structures (for ns-2 set up and running purposes), ii) appropriate programming talents in C++ (for simulating the DCN surroundings and making the required changes in DCTCP), iii) programming in TCL (for writing simulation scripts), iv) know-how of AWK command (for trace textual content processing), and v) know-how GNUPLOT command (for drawing graphs).
