Introduction

Sentiment analysis (also known as opinion mining or emotion AI) is the use of natural language processing, text analysis, computational linguistics, and biometrics to systematically identify, extract, quantify, and study affective states and subjective information. Sentiment analysis is widely used in every field to know the emotions and the behavior of person or community about a trend or something special.

Politics is the part of everyone’s life and their opinions and agendas affect the people and country. In this project, you have to analyze the tweets of two famous Pakistani politicians.

Following are Functional Requirements:

Functional requirements:

  • Dataset will be provided by the teacher.
  • Use the dataset provided to analyses the both person’s tweets using python language.
  • You are required to find:
    • Who is the most active politician on the twitter in past 10 years? o Extract the positive, negative and neutral words used in the tweets of both persons. o Assign the sentiment score to the tweets using python. o Word cloud of mostly used words. o Which politician is using more patriotic words in the tweets? o Which politician is installing agitation through his/her tweets? o Which politician is using more destructive words in his/her tweets? o Which politician is using more constructive words in his/her tweets?
    • What type of words both politician are using for each other?
    • Compare the behavior of both politicians.  Manual verification of the results.

More Functional requirements can be added in each deliverable.

  • Windows Xp, Windows 7(ultimate, enterprise)
  • R software
  • Python
