Abstract/ Preface
Utmost universities these days have a number of faculties and departments and each department offer different degree/ study programs. Each study program has multiple batches enrolled and different courses are tutored in a semester in different study programs. Since there are limited faculty members ( course preceptors), each educator tutoring further than one courses, and classrooms are also limited. Thus, a schedule is demanded to accommodate the lectures of Preceptors at handed time places in such a way that their timings don’t lap and the schedule makes stylish use of all the preceptors and class- apartments.
In ultramodern educational institutions, there’s a great need to have an automated lecture schedule generation medium, as similar lecture scheduling is a veritably excited job and can have a lot of clashes if done manually. Lecture scheduling done manually takes a lot of trouble and time. While scheduling indeed the lowest constraints can take a lot of time and the cases are indeed worse when the number of constraints or the quantum of data to deal with increases. Dealing with changes is veritably hard and it may lead to developing the entire schedule formerly again. Intelligent Lecture scheduling system is an easy web- grounded operation that automates the process of lecture scheduling. Degreeprogram-wise,instructor-wise and class- room-wise schedule can be generated in a. pdf format.
Functional Conditions
Some of the functional conditions are
• Login process/ authentication for director who’ll make/ modernize the schedule • The database should store the following data ( submitted by the admin through a GUI)
1. Department details
2. Degree/ study program details
3. Preceptors’ details
4. Courses details
5. Lectures schedule allocation details/ constraints
• Degreeprogram-wise,instructor-wise and class- room-wise lecture schedule should be generated in a. pdf format
• Druggies will have open access to the schedule using a webpage/ internet link • Some of the obligatory constraints are as follows
o All lectures of a course must be listed to a distinct niche and a distinct room o Any two lectures can not be assigned in the same niche and the same room
o Lectures of courses in the same study program or tutored by the same educator can not be listed in the same niche, i.e., any niche can not have an lapping of scholars or preceptors
. o For each lecture, the number of scholars attending the course shouldn’t be lesser than the capacity of the class- room hosting the lecture
. o All lectures of a course should be listed at the same class-room.However, the number of engaged apartments should be as many as possible
, If this isimpossible.o
