Abstract / Introduction

This is an android based application, that will assist the patients and doctors. The patient can search for doctor by name or by specialty/department in the app, the app will show them a list of available doctors along with their schedule and consultation fees. The app will allow the patient to book appointment with the doctor and the patient need to visit the hospital on the scheduled date and time. Also, the patient can check his/her history and test etc. performed at the hospital in the application.

The app will show list of available patients on a particular day to the doctor. The doctor can enter the history of the patient, current medical condition and any medication or lab tests prescribed. The doctor can also check the previous lab results and medical history of the patient entered in the system.

The admin of the app can enter available doctors, their departments and lab tests available in the hospital.

Functional Requirements:

Following are the functional requirements for the project:

1. Admin can manage (add/update/delete) doctor information, departments and lab tests available in the hospital.
2. The admin can also post the lab result for the particular patient in the system as prescribed by the doctor.
3. The application will allow the patient to search for doctor.
4. The application will allow the patient to book appointment with the doctor.
5. The doctor can enter details of patient with related data (medications and lab test etc.).
6. The system allows the doctor to view patient history as and when needed.
7. The system will allow the search feature for doctor to search for its patient by name or by date etc.

Tools:

You are free to use any mobile phone application development tool(s) provided that all the functional requirements are met properly.
